PA Parks (.23 ft.; boxes )

A subject category containing some general information on parks and monuments, as well as information pertaining to historic preservation, national historic sites and national historic landmarks.

PA001 Cemeteries (.1 ft.; boxes )

A secondary subject category containing information and correspondence pertaining to federally managed cemeteries, such as Arlington National Cemetery and cemeteries operated by the Veterans Administration. This secondary subject category contains requests to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, information on the maintenance of Veterans Administration cemeteries and proposals for new national and Veterans Administration cemetery sites.

PA002 Memorials - Monuments (.43 ft.; boxes )

A secondary subject category containing information pertaining to proposals for new monuments and memorials, additions to existing monuments and memorials, maintenance of monuments and memorials and appropriations for monuments and memorials. Included is information on the planning of the Korean Veterans Memorial and the Women Vietnam Veterans Memorial, as well as suggestions for other memorials to honor the nation's veterans from World War II and Desert Storm. Also included in this category is information on various National Battlefield Parks.

A secondary subject category containing basic information pertaining to National Parks, National Historical Parks, the National Trails Systems and National Wildlife Refuges, as well as information on their funding, uses, acquisitions, access and expansion. It should be noted that although this category was designated to include information on reservations, there is almost no information on that topic in the files.
