A subject category containing general information, correspondence, and memoranda related to local economic problems, tax difficulties, unfunded federal mandates, urban renewal, urban drug problems, federal aid to state and local governments, and local political campaigns. This category also includes fact sheets and proposed legislation dealing with urban America. Of special note is a large body of memoranda and correspondence regarding the rebuilding of South Central Los Angeles after the riots in May 1992.
