Donated Materials
Below, please find a list of donated materials available for research at the George Bush Presidential Library. Unlike Presidential records, donated historical materials are deposited at the George Bush Library by individuals or organizations and are governed by deeds of gift. Although the library has many donated historical collections, only a small number are processed and available for research. Currently, the mandates of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) require Bush Library archivists to focus almost entirely on processing official Presidential Records. Please note that donated collections are not subject to the Freedom of Information Act or the Presidential Records Act and cannot be requested by filing a FOIA request.
