Classic Film: "To Catch a Thief," part of the Mysteries of Life film series
(1955, 106 minutes, Color) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Suspected in a series of gem heists in the French Riviera, reformed thief John Robie (Cary Grant) sets out to catch the real culprit with the help of pampered heiress Frances Stevens (Grace Kelly). Robie’s plan backfires, but Frances, who believes him guilty, plots an escape.
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the George Bush Library Foundation present Mystery of Life free of charge and invite anyone in the community interested in classic films to attend. Free popcorn and refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Hagler Auditorium of the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center unless otherwise noted, and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
