Classic Film Series Presents: Thoroughly Modern Millie

Millie Dillmount (Julie Andrews), a fearless young lady fresh from Salina, Kansas, determined to experience Life, sets out to see the world in the rip-roaring Twenties. With high spirits and wearing one of those new high hemlines, she arrives in New York to test the "modern" ideas she had been reading about back in Kansas: "I've taken the girl out of Kansas. Now I have to take Kansas out of the girl!"

The Bush Library and the Bush Library Foundation present the Classic Film Series free of charge and invite anyone in the community interested in classic films to attend. Beverages are provided courtesy of Bryan Coca Cola Bottling Company and popcorn is available at no cost. Refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Hagler Auditorium of the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center unless otherwise noted and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
