"The Heart Truth® Red Dress Collection"

Date(s): October 1, 2010 to August 14, 2011

The Red Dress is the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness and the centerpiece of The Heart Truth®. This national awareness campaign warns women about their risk of heart disease and inspires them to take action to lower it. The Heart Truth® created and introduced the Red Dress in 2005 to deliver an urgent wake-up call to American women.

From Oct. 1, 2010, through Aug. 14, 2011, The Heart Truth® brings the Red Dress symbol to life with the Red Dress Collection. The exhibit features red gowns and suits worn by celebrities and America's first ladies, who have joined The Heart Truth® to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of women — heart disease.

Major health issues associated with heart disease such as high blood pressure, stroke, congestive heart failure, diabetes and obesity will be explored. Learn about your own risk and how to take control.
