Issues Forum: NASA Flight Director, Kwatsi Alibaruho
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum Issues Forum presents: NASA Flight Director, Kwatsi Alibaruho at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. This interactive lecture will focus on his work as a NASA Mission-Control Flight Director.
Kwatsi Alibaruho is the first African-American to lead Mission Control. He has worked shifts as a flight director of the International Space Station. He was deputy chairman of the Orbital Space Plane Source Evaluation Board's operations committee, and immediately before his selection as a flight director was group lead for the International Space Station Life Support Systems Group. He already has logged 2,850 hours of experience working in Mission Control.
