Issues Forum: Astronaut Joseph Kerwin
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum Issues Forum presents Astronaut Joseph Kerwin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13. This interactive lecture will focus on the Space Program and his experiences on Apollo Skylab.
There will also be an autograph session of Joseph Kerwin's book: Homesteading Space: The Skylab Story. You can purchase a copy during the book signing or bring your own.
Joseph Kerwin is a retired Captain of the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Medical Corps. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross and his Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University Medical School before becoming a Naval Aviator. While in the NASA Astronauts Corps, Kerwin accumulated more than 672 hours of space flight. His most notable mission was on the Apollo Skylab.
