Issues Forum: Coach Rex Sanders
Swing batter, batter! The George Bush Presidential Library Issues Forum presents: Coach Rex Sanders on February 12th. This interactive lecture is titled "If George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were Baseball Coaches: Lessons on Leadership."
Coach Sanders is the former head baseball coach at A&M Consolidated High School and currently serves as the Executive Director for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. Other notable accomplishments include: coaching the first National Nike All-American Game in Yogi Berra Stadium in 2003, hosting former President George Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev during one of his own games in 2001, and also receiving the Ray Knoblauch Award for Coaching Excellence in 2003. Coach Rex Sanders was also inducted into the Texas High School Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
