Classic Film: Angels in the Outfield
Angels in the Outfield (1951, 99 minutes, B&W), directed by Clarence Brown. THe Pittsburgh Pirates are on a serious losing streak-which could be in part due to their gruff, abusive manager. It looks like the team is doomed until the prayers of a little orphan girl bring angels into the life of the obscene Manager Guffy.
