Freedom's Legacy: Celebration of Juneteenth

Following the Annual Freedom March, a free public storytelling concert from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. will be held with Diane Ferlatte accompanied by Erik Pearson on banjo and guitar in the Frymire Auditorium. Internationally renowned storyteller Diane Ferlatte combines animated characterization and dynamic, expressive narrative. Through stories, songs, humor and audience participation, she brings her tales to life and touches all with a repertoire of legend and historical stories. Broussard focusing on African-American history and offering primary sources to enhance teaching. CPE & CEU credit will be available.
