Bush Library Issues Forum: Bush's Peking, China Diary
Date(s): December 12, 2006 to December 31, 1969
George H.W. Bush served as America's liaison to the People's Republic of China during the mid-1970s. Bush kept a diary of his time in China-his Peking Diary. The Library Issues Forum features graduating students at the Bush School who have spent the semester investigating aspects of the diary. On December 12, 2006, the students will present Bush’s writings and experience in China, which reveal the future president’s innermost thoughts on his own life, his family, American politics, diplomacy and America’s role in the world. The Issues Forum begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Bush Museum Orientation Theater. There is no cost to attend, and for reservations, call (979)691-4014.
