Tour of the Staged Railroad Wreck at the Brayton Fire School
Date(s): March 18, 2006 to December 31, 1969
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is pleased to partner with the Texas Engineering Extension Service to offer a tour of the Brayton Fire School. Tours will depart from the Bush Library at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and last 60-90 minutes. The cost is $5.00 per person payable at the admission counter. Small children who will sit on a parent's lap are free. Children must be closely supervised by an adult at all times.After a five minute bus trip, visitors will enter a classroom and view a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation on the school’s history, purpose, and future plans. Visitors will then reboard the bus and drive by the tank car loading rack and receive a briefing on how the equipment is used to train for chemical emergencies. Photo opportunities will be available throughout the visit.
