Bush Museum Storytellers Guild

El Vaquero, an interactive presentation by Angel Vigil describing the role of the Spanish/Mexican vaquero (cowboy) in the origins and development of cowboy culture in the American West. Included are stories about the tools of the working vaquero and demonstrations of the techniques of bullwhip cracking and trick roping. A special feature is the historically accurate costume representing the vaquero of the 1700s worn during this unforgettable performance.
