Enriched by her experience of growing up in China, Linda collects her stories from Chinese folktales, historical anecdotes, oral traditions and Chinese opera. Her captivating storytelling style is seen in her unusual ability to engage her audiences at various levels. Ancient Chinese costumes, props, songs and folk music give authentic flavors to her programs. Characters spring to life with her different voices, expressions and gestures. Traveling across the country and abroad, Linda unveils the culture, traditions and beauty of China, a country that is both mysterious and fascinating. Ms. Fang is an award-winning Chinese American Storyteller and has performed at the Kennedy Center, the National Theatre, and the National Gallery of Art. The Education Department provides storytelling programs free of charge.
