Feature Exhibit: Keith Ferris

Date(s): August 15, 2003 to January 4, 2004
Flight has changed our perception of the world. Keith Ferris has changed our perception of the world of aviation through his paintings. The Art of Keith Ferris pulls the viewer over, under and into airplanes dating back to the 1930's. The exhilaration of flight is felt around every corner in this exhibit as Ferris details "the functional simplicity that is the hallmark of a successful aircraft." His sunlit sky's and cloudscapes find aviation history depicted with a personal touch of both his life's true experiences and imagination. The drama and beauty of his action paintings are underscored by his accuracy in detail due to his being an avid modeler of both small and large-scale planes
