Classic Film: "The Man Who Knew Too Much," part of the Mysteries of Life film series

Date(s): April 11, 2013
Time(s): 7 p.m.
Location: Annenberg Presidential Conference Center's Hagler Auditorium

(1956, 120 minutes, Color) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. While vacationing in Europe, American tourist Ben McKenna (James Stewart) learns of an assassination plot but can’t turn to the police without endangering his young son, who’s been kidnapped to ensure McKenna’s silence. Director Alfred Hitchcock’s suspenseful remake of his own 1934 thriller features a rare dramatic turn by Doris Day as Ben’s wife and makes legendary use of the Oscar-winning tune “Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera).”

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the George Bush Library Foundation present Mystery of Life free of charge and invite anyone in the community interested in classic films to attend. Free popcorn and refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Hagler Auditorium of the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center unless otherwise noted, and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
