Date(s): July 9, 2012 to August 9, 2012
Location: George Bush Presidential Library and Museum's Rotunda

The Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE), sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association, is a statewide curricular opportunity for high-school art students. Student artists are evaluated at the regional, area and state levels before being considered for the Gold Seal Award, the highest honor in the VASE program. More than 25,000 artworks were entered in the 2012 VASE program from 19 Texas Education Service Center regions, and 1,194 artworks qualified for the 2012 State VASE Event. The 2012 Gold Seal Exhibition represents 150 of the top high-school artworks created during this academic year.
