Classic Film: "Take the Money and Run," part of the Headed to the Movies! film series

Date(s): January 12, 2012
Time(s): 7 p.m.
Location: Annenberg Presidential Conference Center's Hagler Auditorium

(1969, 85 minutes, color) Directed by Woody Allen. Music-loving and hopelessly timid, Virgil Starkwell (Woody Allen) launches his criminal career at a young age. Despite his failure to successfully pull off a single bank heist, he continues on an endless string of botched stickups even after he weds and starts a family. Renowned newsreel voice Jackson Beck narrates this uproarious faux documentary about the life and crimes of a bungling crook and his preposterous exploits.

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, and BTU present the Classic Film Series free of charge and invite anyone in the community to attend. Beverages are provided courtesy of Bryan Coca Cola Bottling Company and popcorn is available at no cost. Refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center's Hagler Auditorium, unless otherwise noted, and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
