Classic Film: North by Northwest
Thursday, January 14 - North by Northwest (1959, 131 minutes, Color), directed by Alfred Hitchcock. New York advertising executive Roger Thornhill is kidnapped by a gang of spies led by Philip Vandamm, who believe Thornhill is CIA agent George Kaplan. Thornhill escapes, but must find Kaplan in order to clear himself of a murder. Following Kaplan to Chicago, Thornhill is helped by beautiful Eve Kendall. In Chicago, she delivers a message to Kaplan that almost costs Thornhill his life when he is chased across a cornfield by a crop-dusting plane.

The Bush Library and the Bush Library Foundation present the Classic Film Series free of charge and invite anyone in the community interested in classic films to attend. Beverages are provided courtesy of Bryan Coca Cola Bottling Company and popcorn is available at no cost. Refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Hagler Auditorium of the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center unless otherwise noted and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
