Classic Film: Francis the Talking Mule

Francis the Talking Mule (1950, 91 minutes, B&W), directed by Arthur Lubin.  The truthful soldier Stirling didn't know how to lie about his source of information, the talking army mule, Francis. So, Stirling was treated as a lunatic. This led to one after another hilarious situation, where the mule was the only one that appeared in his right mind.

Cosmic Comedies is a collection of classic films that will feature the genres of comedy and science fiction. This classic film series is provided in conjunction with the Beyond the Moon: NASA's Continuing Mission exhibit which runs until August 16.  

The Bush Library and the Bush Library Foundation present the Classic Film Series free of charge and invite anyone in the community to attend. Beverages are provided courtesy of Bryan Coca Cola Bottling Company and popcorn is available at no cost. Refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie.
