Issues Forum: NASA Director of Mission Operations, Paul Hill
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum Issues Forum presents NASA Director of Mission Operations, Paul Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23. This interactive lecture, The Future of Manned Space Flight, will focus on the Space Program and his experiences as Director of Mission Operations.
Paul Hill's current responsibilities include mission planning, flight techniques and procedures, flight controller and crew training, simulators and mission control and managing flight operations contracts. He oversees a $400 million annual budget along with 500 civil servants and 3,000 contractor personnel. Additionally, Paul Hill is an Aggie. As a third generation Aggie, his decision to attend school in College Station was as easy as his choice to pursue aerospace engineering. Hill was also a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and credits the Corps with instilling unique discipline and focus in him.
