Bush Library Issues Forum: Jeffrey Engel
On December 10, 2007, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum Issues Forum Series presents Assistant Professor of History and Public Policy at the Bush School of Government and Public Service and author, Jeffrey Engel. Professor Engel's new book, Cold War at 30,000 Feet: The Anglo-American fight for Aviation Supremacy, details the gripping story of the competitive relationship between the U.S. and Great Britain. Engel's book brings to light the conflicting relationship between these two countries as they go from allies against communism to competitors in the world of aviation, and why airpower was such a critical piece in this fight.
The Issues Forum begins at 7 p.m. at the Bush Museum Orientation Theater. A reception and book signing will follow. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are recommended. For reservations, please call (979) 691-4014.
The Bush Museum Issues Forum strives to present leading experts in their respective fields.
