College Station, TX - Who: The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library What: Women of Our Time: Twentieth Century Photographs from the National Portrait Gallery
When: Thursday, October 7th, 2004 2 p.m.
Where: The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library
Why: Ann M. Shumard, Curator for the Department of Photographs of the National Portrait Gallery, will be hosting a walking tour of Women of Our Time: Twentieth Century Photographs from the National Portrait Gallery for local media. She will describe the significance of the personalities chosen for the exhibit, as well as the portraits’ meanings and photographic techniques. The women in these photographs have pushed the edge of the role of “woman” in their respective fields, including art, literature, politics, sports and many more.
