Bush Museum to Celebrate Birthdays

College Station, TX -

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum will celebrate two milestones on Wednesday June 12th, 2003. President Bush will mark his 79th birthday on June 12th and Mrs. Bush will have celebrated her birthday, earlier in the week, on June 8th.

In honor of the Former President and First Lady's birthdays, the museum will be serving cake, ice cream and refreshments in the rotunda from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be free balloons for children and games for the young and the young at heart. A trivia quiz will be held every hour and one winner will be selected from all of that hour's entries. The entry drawn with the most correct answers will win a prize from the museum store. WTAW Radio will broadcast live from the museum from 11 a.m. to noon.

Currently on display are Legends of the West and the Fourth Annual Art and Essay Contest Winners. Museum hours are Monday - Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. Museum admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.50 for senior citizens 62+ and groups of 20 or more with reservations. Children under 17, as well as college students, are free.
