Classic Film Series presents: "The Pride of the Yankees"
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum continues its Classic Film Series lineup with The Pride of the Yankees (1942) on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Presidential Conference Center. This classic film depicts the life of baseball phenomenon, Lou Gehrig. Staring Gary Cooper, as Lou Gehrig, the film traces Gehrig's life from childhood to his later glory on the baseball diamond. The biopic film is perfect for Valentine's Day, whether you are snuggling with your sweetie or celebrating alone, The Pride of the Yankees will warm your heart.
The theme for the classic film series is centered around the Born to Play Ball exhibit which opens on March 1, 2008. These classic films are dedicated to America's Favorite Pastime - baseball. Admission and refreshments to all of the films are FREE. For more information, call 979-691-4014.
