Press Release
Storytellers Guild Presents Buffalo Soldiers
On February 7th, the Life of the Buffalo Soldiers will be presented by the Bush Museum Storytellers Guild of the Education Department. Hear about the Buffalo Soldiers' contribution to taming the West! This is a lasting tribute to the Black Soldiers who displayed outstanding acts of valor. As a result, they were called "Buffalo Soldiers" by the Native Americans who had great respect for their fighting abilities and strength.
There will be two presentations in the Frymire Auditorium of the Presidential Conference Center: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. These storytelling programs are free of charge for all ages with reservations. For reservations, please e-mail: Monica.Lerma@nara.gov or call Monica Lerma, (979) 691-4006. Also, school tours of the Museum are offered free with arrangements made in advance.
The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library hours are Monday - Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m.
