Ride A Quarter-Scale Union Pacific Train

College Station, TX - The young and the young at heart now have the unique opportunity to ride a quarter-scale Union Pacific Train around Research Park on the Texas A&M campus. Visitors can get on board beginning Saturday, January 14, for $2. Tickets can be purchased at the Bush Museum ticket counter using cash, credit or check. Rides will be on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. and run every 30 minutes, weather permitting. Rides will be offered through July 2006.The train rides are being held in conjunction with the Trains: Tracks of the Iron Horse exhibit now on display at the museum. The exhibit includes a collection of historic and contemporary photographs by noted railroad photographers and hundreds of three dimensional objects including railroad china, scale models, and a variety of contemporary and historic railroad artifacts.
The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library hours are Monday – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. Museum admission is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for senior citizens 62+ and active and retired military with ID, as well as groups of 20 or more with advance reservations. Children 6 and older are $2.00; TAMU and Blinn College students as well as children under 6 are free.
