Pitcher Nolan Ryan ranks as baseball’s all-time leader in career strikeouts with more than 5,700, and he pitched seven no-hitters during his career. He pitched in 27 major-league seasons from 1966 to 1993 with the New York Mets, the Anaheim Angels, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
