One of the greatest football players in Texas history, Earl Campbell at University of Texas at Austin won the Heisman Trophy in 1977 after leading the nation in rushing and scoring. While playing for the Houston Oilers, Campbell was NFL rushing champion, player of the year and a Pro Bowl choice. He also played for the New Orleans Saints. Campbell is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is employed at the UT Austin athletic department and operates a restaurant in Austin.
