Richard M. Nixon was the 37th President of the United States (b. 1913, d. 1994). The former Vice-President's dogged refusal to accept earlier political defeats paid off in 1968 when Americans narrowly elected him to the Presidency. Nixon's comeback from the loss to Kennedy in 1960 assumed historic proportions when he was re-elected in 1972 by a landslide total of more than 47 million votes. Artifacts include: golf clubs, shoes and hat as well as a monogrammed golf towel.
