Beyond the Moon: NASA's Continuing Mission
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum's newest exhibit, Beyond the Moon: NASA's Continuing Mission is now open. The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library and the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum, in partnership with Space Center Houston, will tell the story of America's exploration into the final frontier. The LBJ Library will begin the voyage with the story of man's fascination with the heavens from Sputnik to the man's first steps on the moon during Apollo 11.
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum will continue this momentous expedition with Apollo 12 through the current shuttle missions. Beyond the Moon: NASA's Continuing Mission focuses on Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, the Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station. Visitors will experience interactive simulations that include driving the Mars Rover, a NASA Mission Planner, piloting a shuttle launch, Space Station docking, and video Q & A with active and retired astronauts.
