All demonstrations are in the rotunda of the library and are free to the public. Reservations are not required. Each demonstration will last for 30-60 minutes depending on the topic.

Constructing a Model Railroad Layout from the Ground Up
Below, please find the schedule for the construction of a model railroad layout in the rotunda of the library. Each phase of construction will comprise one workshop. Please note that Sunday's construction will continue work begun and Saturday.

10:00 a.m. - construction techniques for small layouts11:00 a.m. - installing (laying) cork roadbed
12:30 p.m. - installing (laying) N-Scale track
1:30 p.m. - track wiring for a small layout
2:30 p.m. - track ballasting
3:30 p.m. - first step, scenic layout with hydracal and plaster rocks

12:30 p.m. - second step, painting and landscaping layout1:30 p.m. - adding trees and weeds
2:30 p.m. - adding houses, autos and people
3:30 p.m. - complete and operate
