Tours
Students of every age can benefit from a single visit to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum since we offer programs for every grade level. To maximize these educational opportunities, we suggest that students visit our facility three times during their school career. We recommend that students visit once during their elementary years (K - 4th), once during the middle school years (5th - 8th), and again in high school (9th - 12th).
The Museum offers interactive, guided tours for students of all ages. Our tours have been specially designed to complement the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). For this reason, tours content and themes vary by grade level. For example, 4th grade tours will include a discussion of George Bush's career as an oil man, while 11th grade tours will include an in-depth discussion of the Berlin Wall.
Tours are one hour in length.
Guided tours are availabe by reservation Mondays - Fridays during the school year.
Self-Guided tours are available by reservation Sunday - Saturdays throughout the year.
Students and anyone employed by the school are admitted free. Parent chaperones are free within a 1:10 ratio of the students. We require at least one adult for every ten students.
