Bush Museum Education Events
Education Program: Reading Discovery Distance Learning Program and Videoconference
Free program: 10-11:15 a.m. CST; Grades 3-8.
First Lady Barbara Bush will read excerpts from award-winning author Lynn Curlee's book, "Capital." Mrs. Bush will answer questions asked by students during a videoconference. David Ferriero, 10th Archivist of the United States, gives insights about our nation's capitol city. On-stage students as Reading Buddies will share the history of Washington, D.C.'s awe-inspiring monuments from "Capital." The program concludes with The Quartet of Singing Cadets at Texas A&M University. Based on a first-come, first-served registration free-of-cost, participants receive a copy of the book!
Join other students and teachers for the excitement of discovering new ideas through reading! Students across the nation will ask Mrs. Bush questions during the videoconference.
